Night Rating
After you have completed your PPL and are wondering what to do next the night rating is a logical next step. And seeing the world from a small aircraft at night is one of the experiences that is not to be missed. Acquiring a night rating is also relatively easy. Just 5 hours of flying and 3 take offs and landings on your own and a 1 hour navigation trip with an instructor and you are then in possession of night rating which will entitle you to take passengers with you. At Cranfield, because of the airfield hours, you will need to wait until the winter time to actually carry out the training.
The night rating is also a requirement if you intend to go on to more advanced training such as a CPL or Instrument Rating.
